 “My Dream" is a remarkable performing art presented by the China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe (CDPPAT) to the world.  Over the past 18 years, the CDPPAT has performed to thousands of people in the world’s premier concert venues. Sell-out seasons at Carnegie Hall, the John F Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts, La Scala and the Para Olympic Games Athens 2004 prove that culture and art cross all boundaries. They have performed widely throughout China and in over 40 countries including Poland, Denmark, Malaysia, UK, Kuala Lumpur, US, Japan and now Australia.


The China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe is a self-funded arts company that has become one of the centrepieces of Chinese art and culture. Warmly embraced wherever they perform, the troupe performs uniquely cultural pieces that are sure to enthral audiences of all cultural backgrounds. Encompassing a stunning visual display, spectacular costumes, moving choreography and haunting music, “My Dream" will undoubtedly capture the attention of Australians of all ages. 

Founded in 1987, China Disabled People’s Performing Arts Troupe comprises over 30 performers with hearing and visual impairment or physical disability. With an average age of 23, these true professionals display a diverse range of artistic abilities and share a tremendous human spirit.

“My Dream" features the breathtaking centrepiece, the “Thousand Hand Bodhisattva" - the dance of 1000 hands, performed by a chorus of hearing-impaired performers.  Having entertained and enthralled Presidents, Prime Ministers, Princesses and people of all ages and cultural backgrounds this is a performance not to be missed.
