Silk Girls Ensemble

Sponsored by ACCCA, Silk Girls Ensemble has formally formed now in Brisbane and made its first public show in Brisbane Queen Street Mall on 14 April 2007.  During two hours period of the performance, the Ensemble played traditional and modern Chinese music, including “Golden Snake Dance”, “General’s Song”, “Ambush on all Sides”, “Crossing the River”, “Peach Flowers Blossom” etc.  The show was great success and was warmly acclaimed by several hundred of audience.

Silk Girls Ensemble consists of 4 beautiful girls from Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei, who plays Pipa (Chinese Guitar), Guzheng (Chinese Harp), percussion and vocal.  The group had been performing in Brisbane for some time before forming as the Ensemble, including the shows at Conrad Jupiters Moon Cake Festival 2006 and community celebration in Mt Tamborine.  The Ensemble has scheduled to perform in Medina Executive Brisbane on 27 May.  In addition to this, the Ensemble also provides entertainment service for conference, wedding ceremonies, dinner functions and family get togethers.
